Battersea Power Station

One of London’s landmarks, the decommissioned Grade II listed Battersea Power Station is now an exciting dining and entertainment hub, with new restaurants including Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen and upmarket kebab favourite Le Bab, as well as a cinema, gym, salon and public events throughout the year.

Nine Elms is home to New Covent Garden Market, London's most famous permanent flower, fruit and veg market. A wholesale market day to day, it’s worth visiting for the spectacle, or you can order a fruit & veg box from its traders. At the weekends, it’s home to Nine Elms Sunday Market, which sells everything from apples to antiques, perfect for a casual weekend stroll.

Battersea Dogs & Cats Home

A landmark in the area, Battersea Dogs & Cats Home is one of the country’s best known rescues, and has cared for well over three million dogs and cats in its history. While you can only visit with an appointment, there are volunteering vacancies, as well as opportunities to foster cats and dogs until they find a home.
