An iconic market that’s been supplying London for centuries (since 1670, to be precise), New Covent Garden Market is the no.1 spot for fresh and seasonal fruit, veg and flowers, as well as meat, fish, bread, cheese and more. You’ll also find a frozen food specialists and a dedicated bar supplier, perfect for picking up everything you need for a signature aperitivo or two.
Pick up some seasonal squash to make an incredible Halloween dessert – we suggest a pumpkin and pecan strudel or a classic pumpkin pie. The market has everything you need, even for the trickiest of treats.
Early birds/night owls (depending on how you look at it) – this one’s for you. The food market is open from 12am-6am between Monday and Friday, and 12am-5am on Saturdays. If you’re looking to pick up some fresh flowers whilst you’re there, you can head to the flower market between 4am-10am from Monday to Friday, and 4am-9am on Saturdays. Artisan deli Harvey and Brockless supply the finest eateries and restaurants in the capital and beyond. They also have a shop that’s open to the general public here in Nine Elms, just a 15 minutes’ walk from homes at Bloom.
With everything available at trade prices, you’ll have the pick of smoked salmon, hand-cured meats and a dedicated vegan range. Find Harvey and Brockless at 15 Linford Street between 10am-5pm Wednesday-Saturday, and between 11am-3pm on Sundays. They suggest you wrap up warm – the shop is located in their warehouse and is rather chilly.
